Equip & Engage

A place for folks to support Jinsoo and stay updated on his ministry

Why Seminary…

Why This Season Matters

We live in a time of unprecedented spiritual confusion. Amidst TikTok theology and YouTube virality, more voices than ever compete for the hearts and minds of our parishioners. They are inundated with hollow ideas and sometimes outright heresy. Discernment feels optional. Deep discipleship feels rare.

We need local pastors who are equipped for this digital age. Leaders with a heart for both technological evangelism and in-person formation. Shepherds who aren’t just passionate, but well prepared to give an answer for the hope we have. Specialists in Scripture who are committed to teach the whole counsel of God.

We’ve seen the cultural impact of figures like Wes Huff and Jordan Peterson. These men captivate audiences by speaking to deep spiritual and existential questions. But the Church doesn’t just need voices, it needs faithful, trained, theologically rooted leaders. We need more Wes Huffs and fewer Jordan Petersons.

Why Now?

In God’s providence, I’ve been accepted into Westminster Theological Seminary with a full scholarship. An opportunity that is increasingly selective to one of the most rigorous programs in the country. This open door comes at a crucial moment, not only culturally, but in my own calling and preparation. Seminary is not a detour from ministry, it is ministry. I will be investing into myself while implementing what I learn an Assistant Pastor.

I believe this to be more than strategic timing, it is sacred timing.

That’s why I’m at Westminster.
